Mystery -- Jigsaw Jones

Publisher Recommended Reading Level: 4-8
(This recommended age looks fairly reasonable for gifted children, particularly the lower level.)

Summary: Jigsaw Jones gets his name from his love of jigsaw puzzles. But those aren't the only kinds of puzzles he likes to work with. He also solves mysteries, working at them as he does his jigsaw puzzles -- looking at the pieces and putting them together.  Jigsaw, the owner of a slobbering, sock-eating dog named Rags, has older brothers, who call him endearing names like "Worm" and "Shorty."
