All Time Favorites - Chronicles of Narnia

These books are among the favorites of many gifted children.
Publisher Recommended Reading Level: 9-12

Summary:
Heroes and villains.  Good and evil.  Courage and cowardice.  Loss and redemption. Friendship and betrayal.  These are the themes in the Narnia stories, but that's not all!  Narnia is a magical land full of mythical creatures and talking animals.  What more could a child (or adult) want in a fantasy adventure?

Like the Harry Potter books, the stories take place in two different worlds: a normal world and a magical world, Narnia. And also like the Harry Potter stories, while the children are in the normal world, little action or adventure takes place.  It all takes place in Narnia, a land full of danger and surprises.

The series consists of 7 books, each with its own quest and enemy.  In each of the seven books, kids are called upon to help the inhabitants of Narnia fight the forces of evil.
