Mystery -- Nate the Great

Publisher Recommended Reading Level: 4-8
(This recommended age looks fairly reasonable for gifted children, particularly the lower level
.)

Summary: "Nate the Great" is... well, great. Nate is a very independent, young detective, walking around the neighbor- hood by himself. He also makes his own pan-cakes, a food he always eats to help him think about his cases. Even though he's quite independent, he wears his rubbers (actually part of his "detective outfit") and never fails to leave a note for his mom.
