Chess

Chess is becoming more and more popular.  Don't think chess is just for adults or older children.  Some gifted kids start playing chess when they're six years old.  You can find books here for children of all ages.

Parenting Tip: Did you know that your local bookstore may sponsor a weekly chess night? Many Borders and Barnes and Noble stores set aside one night a week when chess enthusiasts can get together in the cafe and play a game of chess. Other bookstores do this as well. If your local bookstore doesn't have a chess night, suggest it!
