Science - Earthquakes and Volcanoes

Many gifted children are fascinated by the earth's structure, by the way the planet is constantly changing.  They love to learn about tectonic plates, earthquakes and volcanoes.
Books here are for various ages.

Parenting Tip: Volcano kits are fun and easy because all the supplies are in the kit, which often also contains information and fact-filled books and posters. However, if your gifted child loves to play with clay, he or she can fashion a volcano out of regular modeling clay. Using vinegar and baking soda, your child can create the effect of an erupting volcano. Keep the "volcano" in a plastic box because the "lava" will run all over otherwise!
