Why's and How's Gifted kids love to know how things work. They often want to take things apart to satisfy their curiosity. But they don't need to take apart everything to get their answers. They can find some of their answers in these books.

Parenting Tip: Don't throw away those broken appliances, radios, and computer parts. If your gifted child is interested in seeing how things work, let him or her take these things apart. Give your child a screwdriver and a wrench. Or better yet, buy your child a set of tools just for him or her.
