Parenting Tip: Many gifted children are incredibly disorganized.  This disorganization can interfere with their ability to do well in school.  Many schools provide notebook organizers or try to teach children to keep a homework notebook.  However, some of our gifted kids just can't manage all those paper notes.  The paper, even inside notebooks, get ripped, wrinkled and lost. 
    Help your child get organized by getting him or her an electronic data organizer.  There's no paper to get messed up or lost.  And kids' love of electronics makes getting organized fun.  Older kids -- those in high school -- will probably be ready for a PDA.  But the younger ones can make use of a kid's version, like this one available at Amazon.com
